Passing Year and Other Eligibility Conditions
- Candidates must have obtained their ITI degree, diploma, or certification in 2024 or later.
- Candidates who have already completed an apprenticeship program, discontinued one, or are currently enrolled in one at another entity (or at the AAI for the same qualification level) are not eligible.
- Candidates with one year or more of work or apprenticeship experience following the attainment of the required qualification—in accordance with the Apprentices Act, 1961—are not eligible.

AAI Apprentice Selection Process
The selection process is merit-based, and there is no written examination.
1. Provisional Selection
Candidates will be provisionally selected based on the percentage of marks obtained in the entrance exam. The grade point average (CGPA) will be converted into a percentage in accordance with the regulations of the relevant body or university.
In case of a tie, date of birth and thereafter date of passing will determine seniority.
2. Document Verification
Selected candidates will be summoned to the center’s office for document verification. Notification will be provided solely via the email address registered by the candidate.
3. Interview / Certificate Verification
Candidates may be required to complete the interview/certificate verification process, with candidature remaining provisional throughout.
4. Medical Fitness
Upon joining, a medical fitness certificate issued by a government medical officer or a public enterprise physician must be presented.
