Job Summary
The Wine Category Manager is responsible for identifying and selecting a high-quality wine assortment and leading its commercial rollout to drive business growth for the company and its subsidiaries.
Key responsibilities include identifying emerging wine trends, sourcing producers, and curating new collections, as well as negotiating with suppliers to secure rare wines, limited editions, and exclusive products.
This role covers both Global Travel Retail and local markets (duty-paid markets), supporting a wide range of operations, including retail and hospitality businesses.

- Identify global wine trends, consumer insights, and business opportunities.
- Formulate wine category strategies and annual product lineup plans.
- Build and maintain relationships with wineries, producers, and distributors worldwide.
- Develop a supplier pipeline to secure rare allocations and exclusive products.
- Create business cases for new wine collections.
- Analyze pricing, profit margins, sales volumes, and promotional plans.
- Track and manage category performance and supplier evaluations (scorecards).
- Monitor sales, margins, product mix, and inventory levels.
- Propose initiatives to improve product lineup performance and pricing strategies.
- Leverage the group-wide ecosystem to generate business opportunities.
- Source wines from key wine regions and New World markets.
- Build a balanced wine portfolio tailored to specific customer segments.
- Lead negotiations with wineries, agencies, and distributors.
- Negotiate pricing, rebates, listing fees, payment terms, and marketing support.
- Secure rare wines and exclusive products.
- Manage launch preparations, including product information, tasting notes, and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate closely with retail, supply chain, and marketing teams.
- Provide expert wine advice for hospitality operations, such as lounges and in-flight services.

Eligibility Criteria
